Abstract

This article examines the technical history of art, which is a comprehensive study of artistic production from its earliest beginnings to the present day. It integrates various humanistic and scientific disciplines to gain a comprehensive understanding of the artwork and the artist, considering the historical and cultural context in which the artwork was created, its current context, and how it is viewed and valued by contemporary society. The article focuses on lost, destroyed, or never realized artworks, values regional and peripheral artworks, and emphasizes the relationship between the emotional and aesthetic experience of the artwork and the fragility of its materials. The purpose of this approach is to serve communities by clarifying their identity and memory, identifying artistic assets that better qualify their heritage, and preserving their cultural and artistic heritage.
